Community Solar Resources for New York Customers with NYSEG

Community solar customers in New York receive the easiest, most convenient bill option we offer. It's called consolidated billing.


Consolidated Billing

Simply put, everything is combined with your utility company.

With consolidated billing, you’ll continue to receive one monthly statement from NYSEG. This includes:

  • Your total charges for monthly energy usage and delivery charges
  • A portion of this energy was generated by your share of a community solar farm. This portion is charged at a 10% discount.

Just keep paying your NYSEG bill as normal and enjoy savings on your electricity each month. 

Where can I find my Nautilus Solar statement?

You don't receive a Nautilus Solar statement because your discount is consolidated with NYSEG. All the information you need regarding your savings is visible on your NYSEG statement. 

When will I receive my Nautilus statements?

You will not receive a Nautilus Solar statement. Everything is integrated into your NYSEG bill. It will continue to be delivered to your mail or email as usual.

How does Nautilus Solar billing work?

When you sign up, we don't ask for payment information, because you do not pay us directly. NYSEG pays us on your behalf for the solar energy generated by your portion of our solar farm.

How does this work with your NYSEG bill?

In the example below, you can see a negative credit on this bill under "Miscellaneous charges". That credit represents the discount you received that month for subscribing to community solar with Nautilus.

Frequently Asked Billing Questions

What Are Solar Credits?

Solar credits are the equivalent of solar energy generation in kilowatt-hours. This energy is deducted from your utility bill and charged by Nautilus Solar instead at a discount.

What Are Banked Credits?

Extra monthly energy generation is “banked” for use during months when your solar farm generates less. In the winter for example, this banked energy is automatically applied to your Nautilus statements at a 10% discount to help balance your monthly savings when there isn't as much sunlight.

You do not need to take any action to use banked credits.

Is Autopay Required

No. We do not collect payment information from our New York customers because you are directly paying your utility.
