Cancelling Your Account
To cancel your account, please contact our customer care team at (866) 969-4129 or send us an email requesting your cancellation at customercare@nautilussolar.com.
After we cancel your account, you will receive an email confirming your cancellation with Nautilus Solar.
What to Expect After Cancellation
Here's what happens after you cancel:
- Billing Lag: Nautilus statements are typically sent 1-2 months after your utility bill. This delay reflects the time it takes for your utility to send us details about your monthly solar credit (energy) generation. This means you may continue to receive a couple invoices for solar credits received before your cancellation.
- Utility Disconnection Timeline: It may also take up to 90 days for your utility company to fully disconnect you from your solar farm. During this time, you may continue to receive credits on your utility bills. Each utility handles this differently. We notify the utility company of your cancellation as soon as we receive your request.
- Solar Credits: You are responsible for any solar credits generated during the billing cycle in which you cancelled. If you cancelled halfway through the month, you may still receive an invoice for that full month of solar energy.
Cancellation Timeline Example
As an example, if you cancel on May 5th and your last Nautilus statement was for February, you may still receive the following statements:
- March solar energy --> billed in May
- April solar energy --> billed in June
- May solar energy --> billed in July

Because disconnection can take up to 90 days, you may also see additional credits for June, July, or August. These would be invoiced in August, September, and October.

How to Track Your Billing
You can always check your monthly Nautilus statements and savings in the customer portal (https://nautilussolar.com/account) under the 'Billing & Payment History' tab.
For the most accurate view of your savings and charges, it's important to line up the billing periods between your utility company and Nautilus Solar.
