Project Onboarding Manager

Nautilus Solar Solution’s (NSS) Project Onboarding Manager will be responsible for managing the transition of all solar assets into the Asset Management Business.  The Project Onboarding Manager will directly lead all efforts related to onboarding and mobilizing a project.  This position reports to the VP of Asset Management.

  • Review and comment on requirement documents, schedules, cost estimates, and other key information related to solar PV project
  • Participate in the review of contract documents for projects including the creation of a requirements documents, lists of deliverables and other project management related items
  • Implement & Manage subcontractors for maintenance of solar PV systems ranging from commercial to utility scale utilizing MS Project and other software tools
  • Conduct construction progress inspections at sites before, during and after active construction for quality control and progress reporting purposes
  • Work closely with business development to transition projects in construction to asset management.
  • Lead the effort to onboard all projects into the asset management platform
  • Serve as the platform expert in the asset management business
  • Lead mobilization process
  • Create and maintain project documentation related to the delivery of a project including bids, construction, and project close-out documentation
  • Promote and solicit O&M Contracts
  • Quality Control Management
  • Develop spare parts strategy and provide a recommended list for each project
  • Create turnover packages for each project warranty information, OEM manuals, and other project details in preparation of construction completion
  • Participate in project walk-downs and provide a punch-lists as necessary
  • Lead special projects as assigned (i.e. fleet wide standardization, site specific procedures, new technologies/ideas as it relates to cost savings)
  • Interface closely with the Project Development team during the pre-construction phase
  • Interface closely with the local maintenance partners to identify most cost-effective scope/contract

  • 4-year degree required, Technical degree highly preferred
  • Strong Excel, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interface with different levels and functions of the organization as well as with external parties such as banks, lawyers, customers and contractors
  • Ability to work independently in a team-oriented and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to undertake complex tasks
  • Project oriented with a goal to complete assignments on time.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with industry standard project management methods such as Project Management Professional (PMP) best practices, ISO9000 guidelines, and other similar best practices
  • Solar PV project management experience, proven project reporting of financial, work and schedule progress
  • Organizational and process orientation skills to clearly maintain project documentation, correspondence and related files
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
  • Knowledge of construction processes and practices in electrical, civil and structural trades
  • Proficiency with Project planning and Management Software, PowerPoint, Excel and other similar software
  • Ability to review Schedules and Budgets for accuracy and completeness
  • 5-7 years of relevant project management experience (energy or related sectors); previous solar experience desirable
  • Unrestricted Authorization to work in the U.S.
