Business Development Manager, Asset Management


Nautilus Solar Solutions ("NSS") Business Development Manager will be responsible for the origination and ongoing development of NSS's 3rd party Asset Management portfolio focused on Commercial/Industrial and Distributed Generation power service agreement projects located throughout the U.S.     

Responsibilities:

  • Originate Asset Management and O&M service opportunities with host customers in the US
  • Create channel markets and marketing relationships to effectively gain access to customers
  • Identify target markets and customer segments that best align with our value proposition
  • Represent NSS's interest and create a physical and marketing presence in target markets including participation in local solar associations and other organizations promoting solar power
  • Make customer visits for business development purposes and in support of Request for Proposals
  • Responsible for the creation of marketing material and customer proposals
  • Support the development team throughout the life cycle of a project from PV project agreement finalization to start of Asset Management
  • Support the negotiation of project documents including Asset Management and O&M Contracts.

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding and passion for the solar industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the solar industry in a sales or business development position
  • Other relevant business to business sales experience (particularly energy services or other energy related services) will be strongly considered   
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrable ability to understand and communicate technical and commercial concepts
  • Strong business origination capabilities
  • Excellent organizational abilities, able to focus on details while managing multiple projects
  • Able to excel in a highly entrepreneurial environment
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or business
  • Graduate degree a plus
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S
  • Willing to travel over 50% of the time

The Sales Manager can be located in target markets including California, the Southeast and the Northeast.
