Asset Manager, Finance


Asset Manager Finance - Position is open for an energetic, organized professional with an aptitude to work in a renewable energy company in a highly entrepreneurial environment. The position will involve a multitude of responsibilities with all aspects of day –to- day operations of solar energy assets including project management, reporting, contractual compliance and risk management. The Asset Manager will report to the Vice President of Asset Management and will interact effectively with all levels throughout the Company and serve as the point of contact for the Company’s asset management clients.

Asset management consists of the operational, financial, accounting, commercial and administrative activities necessary to ensure that solar plant’s energy production translates into the appropriate revenue stream.

Project Management, Reporting, Accounting and Compliance Responsibilities

  • Management of day-to-day activities of the solar projects
  • Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • One point of contact with all project counterparties including lenders, equity owners and government agencies
  • Administer obligations and responsibilities under the project agreements
  • Manage adherence to financing documents including loan compliance with covenants and ratios
  • Compliance with the regulatory and government requirements
  • Preparation of supporting schedules and basic reconciliations
  • Financial management of construction including construction draws
  • Responsible for onboarding new projects to an integrated asset management system
  • Preparation and distribution of monthly reports to various project stakeholders including accompanying schedules, worksheets, narratives and budget vs actual variance reports
  • Follow-up on variances
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned

Skills Requirements:

  • ?4 year degree required, Finance or Accounting highly preferred
  • Strong Excel, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to interface with different levels and functions of the organization as well as with external parties such as banks, lawyers, customers and contractors
  • Ability to work independently in a team-oriented and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to undertake complex tasks
  • Project oriented with a goal to complete assignments on time.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
